Laura was born and raised in Southern California, but her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada during her sophomore year of high school. After graduating from Palo Verde High School, Laura returned “home” to attend the University of Southern California. Laura received her B.A. in History, with a Minor in the Performing Arts in 2004. While at USC, Laura was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and a staff member of the El Rodeo, USC’s Yearbook.
After USC, Laura followed the sunshine to the University of Miami School of Law where she received her J.D. in 2007. While at the University of Miami, Laura discovered an interest in estate planning while taking Estates and Trust from Professor John Gaubatz that ultimately led her to follow her family to Arizona to begin her practice in Sun City. During law school, Laura spent her summers interning with judicial officers of the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Following graduation from the University of Miami, Laura joined the firm of Cooley & Robbins, LLC and focused primarily in the areas of estate planning, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate. In September 2012, Cooley & Robbins, LLC joined the firm of Mushkatel & Becker, PLLC to form Mushkatel, Robbins & Becker, PLLC. Since that time, Laura has expanded her practice to include estate litigation.
Laura is admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona. Laura is the former President of the West Maricopa County Bar Association, and is a current member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Probate and Trust Section and Elder Law and Mental Health Section. Since moving to Phoenix, Laura has become an ardent fan of Spring Training and the Valley’s performing arts community.
