We received many well-researched and thoughtful entries from high school, college, and graduate students from throughout the country.The attorneys of Mushkatel, Gobbato, & Kile, P.L.L.C., had asked students to provide an essay of 600 words or less\u00a0 in which they responded to the following question:\u201cWhat is the greatest crisis facing modern day society and why?\u201dWe appreciate every entry that we received, and we would love to award a scholarship to every applicant. However, we had to choose only two winners. The funds which they receive will go towards their costs of pursuing a higher education.We thank every student who submitted an essay and wish everyone the best as they move forward.1st Place: Riona SheikhFrom: Clarksburg, MDAttending:  Richard Montgomery High SchoolOur contest winner is Riona Sheikh. Riona is a junior at Richard Montgomery High School. She is the Opinions Editor for her school newspaper and a member of various clubs, such as the National Art Honor Society.
