The first-place winner of the 2023 contest will receive $1,500, and the second-place winner will receive $500. Students who attend schools in the United States or are U.S. residents are eligible to apply. The contest is open to high school juniors and seniors, students enrolled in two-year or four-year colleges or universities, and students accepted to or enrolled in graduate schools.To enter the competition, an applicant must submit an essay of 600 words or less that addresses the following question:\u201cDo you believe in the institutional integrity of today\u2019s federal governmental bodies? Identify and defend your position.\u201dStudents entering the competition may submit only one essay. Essays must contain only the student\u2019s original work, and students must cite all sources of information. All essays containing any plagiarized material will result in automatic disqualification from the competition.Application submissions must also include a copy of the student\u2019s school transcript or proof of enrollment and a cover sheet containing the following:The student\u2019s name, address, and phone numberThe name and address of the student\u2019s schoolThe student\u2019s photograph in .jpeg formatA two-to-three-sentence biographyFor applicants under 17 years old, a signature from a parent or guardianApplicants should send their submissions as a Word document in .doc or .docx format to ereiss@consultwebs-email.com.Students must submit their applications by Friday, December 1, 2023. Winners will receive notification through the contact information on the application\u2019s cover sheet. The winners will also be announced on the Mushkatel, Gobbato, & Kile, P.L.L.C. website. The selection committee\u2019s decisions are final.Each winner will receive a check from Mushkatel, Gobbato, & Kile, P.L.L.C. made out to the winner’s school. Winners must use the funds to pay for education-related expenses.
